THEODORO NAGÔ

At the service of black music: this is how Theodoro Nagô, singer, composer and instrumentalist, defines himself. Based on African rhythms while using contemporary elements and sounds, his MPB can be characterized as a bridge between the future and ancestry.
His Afro-Brazilian guitar brings with it the most beautiful influences from names like Djavan,  Gil, Chico César,  Vicente Barreto and Filó Machado.

He released Theodoro (2023), Coisa de Pele (2020), Sucinto (2018), Balanço Cruzado (2016) and Poesia e Balanço (2010).

His career began when he was still a child, from the carnival group organized by his family to the children's choir at the church in Itapetininga, the city where he was born. Created among vinyl records by big names in music such as Jorge Ben, Tim Maia, Djavan and Cartola, the various possibilities of expression through art meant that, in 2005, he wrote and sang his first songs, in voice format. and guitar.

The artist has authentic compositions and unique swing, both in the vocals and in the instrumental arrangements of his songs. Singing about black love in its various forms and sending a strong identity message, Theodoro seeks to be an affectionate breath in the midst of so much chaos.

His songs have already been recorded by names such as Xenia França, Jota.pê, Duo Avuá, Fabriccio, among others.
